We've had such a great family holiday in Wooli, with a relaxed laid back atmosphere & not alot to do it's not for those who like to be go go go. We stayed in a beautiful little beachside cottage R&J's which we highly recommend, cleàn,fully accommodating & dog friendly. Wooli has Beautiful clean beaches & river which leads out to the bar into open waters for the boaties making it great for fishing, swimming, exploring & BBQs with family plus the pooch. There are many holiday rentals as well as two caravan parks. The locals are quite friendly. The Wooli bowls club is a great place to have a few coldies, they also have Chinese for dinner meals. We will definitely be back.

Conveniently located offering heathy and fresh dishes with awesome coffee. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Puppy friendly outside. Mix of locals and tourists alike. Get up to speed with the surf and fishing conditions while you start you day with a coffee and breaky.

Wooli is almost in the middle of no where. A seaside village. There is a servo, a pub, a continental bar, and the Wooli Wooli Cafe! Nothing special, but perfect! It’s what you hope every Ozzie cafe would be. Honest food (quality, quantity and pricing), local owners and staff who are welcoming and engaging and a local clientele who love them. A must do if you find yourself in Wooli one day.

Although we only stopped by for a coffee, I noticed immediately how really clean everything was. One staff member while the cafe was quiet was up ladders cleaning lamp shades and those high up places that get missed! Good to see. :)

This is a gorgeous cafe - it doesn't look like anything exciting from the outside but as soon as you walk in you get a cosy, unique vibe. The coffee is bitter and strong and the ladies in there serving are beautiful!

Read my reviews - macchiatos are my test of good cafe coffee. Getting one great macchiato is wonderful. Getting a second one might be an accident. Getting five in a row over three days with two different baristas means that these guys at Wooli know what they are doing. Each macchiato was a perfectly proportioned one shot macchiato (they asked if I wanted one or two shots). Just the right amount of milk steamed milk to create the layers without becoming a mini cappuccino. The beans they use from Byron Bay are excellent. Interesting that the last macchiato I had on day three was a bit different but still excellent. This is a natural product with the human factor still critical. Please forgive the impassioned description however getting this right puts this cafe above yet another cafe with a coffee machine. One morning I felt a bit over stimulated with coffee so I listened to the order of the customer ahead of me (a local tradie) and tried their mango smoothie. I don’t usually fill up on dairy based drinks. In this case I am glad a I did - flavoursome, great texture and oh so refreshing. With no added sugar, it might have even been healthy! It was late morning so I did not feel like filling up on the usual brekkie or lunch offerings. I spotted a vegetarian quiche. I trusted my eyes and I am thankful the gorgeous looking frittata was a delight. Why? Many cafes place a soupy bland egg mix into tasteless pastry into which unidentifiable veges drown. The Wooli Wooli Cafe quiche had thin properly cooked pastry with a range of veges that must have been fresh. To borrow a Masterchef phrase, the veges were the heroes of this dish. Their chef made this one - well done - a simple dish made and served well. There is nothing fancy about this cafe. Pleasant enough inside, I chose to sit outside on a basic wooden bench with my dogs. The combination of friendly customers, pleasant owner and staff and fresh sea air were a winner. You don’t need to doom scroll on your smart phone to discover the weather prognosis for the area. There is a sandwich board outside with well written and engaging explanation of the weather conditions for your holiday. Now you know how a simple cafe at a seaside village can get five stars.
